Jump'in (0162) French Mouth Blue Steel 3 ring bit with copper rings

Composition: Blue Steel cannons and 100% copper rings. The Blue Steel alloy used in this Jump’In range is made of 54% carbon and 46% manganese.

Effect: The action of this bit will invite the horse to lower their head. The Classic 3-ring bit has a more direct lever effect than the German one. The French-mouth cannons make this bit more comfortable by relieving the horse from any pressure on their palate. Moreover, the copper rings on the central piece will induce relaxation in the horse while working. Blue steel bit oxidizes with air and humidity, creating a thin layer of rust which has a sweet taste. It will stimulate the production of saliva and naturally allow the horse to relax. The horse will be more comfortable and will take the bit more. The bit color will turn into a greyish brown due to this oxidation process. 

Using advice: This bit can be used with reins fixedly attached to the bottom rings, with bit loops, or with two pairs of reins. The 3-ring blocked bit has more action than a classic French-mouth 3-ring bit. The cannons are thinner than standard ones, so they will bring more finesse to the rider’s demands. The copper rings can help the horse focus and take the bit more.
