Important note to our customers: leather bits are not guaranteed against biting, even from the first use. 

Effect: This bit has a direct action on the direction without leverage.  Jump'in bits made of leather are very soft and comfortable for the horse. Unlike stainless steel, sweet iron, or other alloys, leather prevents an excessively cold feel.  

Instructions for use: The most focused bit, the best aid for directional issues. Perfectly suited for working with young horses. The round leather mouthpiece is very soft but will provide more control than a flat leather mouthpiece. The leather will soften in the horse's mouth, allowing for complete trust between rider and horse.

Care instructions:  Rinse the bit thoroughly after each use to minimize residue buildup and prevent discomfort for your horse. Oil the leather with a vegetable oil ( Caution:  do not use neatsfoot oil or other synthetic oils) to maintain a soft and comfortable feel for your horse.
